With social lives more closely resembling the heady days of 2019, we have a variety of new openings for every taste, from the refined Guardsman Hotel to Four Quarters which is essentially a teenager’s fantasy bedroom come to life.

1. Toca Social – North Greenwich

Just like all the great moments of the game, unforgettable events need iconic locations.

Based at the world-famous O2 Arena, this theatre of football can hold a 400 strong squad. Split over two floors, the Main Floor and Upper Mezzanine, these flexible spaces can be adapted to provide a more intimate and private event .

2. Pam’s – Soho

If you’ve been around Soho, you might have noticed a new bar and restaurant called Pam’s. It turns out that it’s from Barworks, the same people behind The Diner as well as Mare Street Market, who have completely relaunched that site with a new look, name and new menu too. The aim was to make it a more casual space than before and they told Hot Dinners they want it to be “like a New York Tavern where you get that great bar with great food.

3. Four Quarters – Elephant and Castle

Their latest bar will be in the huge new Elephant Park development in Elephant & Castle. It’s going to be the group’s biggest opening to date with over 30 retro arcade machines, eight vintage console booths and two large-screen projection gaming areas. There’ll even be alfresco gaming action with screen’s built into the building’s walls so you can play them from booths outdoors.

4. Mondrian – Shoreditch

Marking the brand’s return to London, the opening will be Mondrian’s sixth hotel in the global portfolio and a European flagship.

The 120-room property sits in the heart of Shoreditch, London’s creative and cultural hub. On the lower ground World-famous chef Dani Garcia introduces BIBO Shoreditch, a Spanish kitchen serving tapas with courtyard seats and Garcia’s first outpost in London. Mondrian Shoreditch also hosts a new all-day café and cocktail bar – Christina’s Shoreditch. Christina’s Shoreditch only sources products from local independent suppliers (farmers, growers and community bakeries), start-ups and brands with social impact. Guests also have access to the exclusive Altitude for breakfast. The space otherwise is exclusively for members of The Curtain.

5. The Guardsman – Buckingham Gate

The Guardsman is a luxurious, five-star hotel ideally located between quiet neighborhoods, famous monuments, and the high-end bars and restaurants of St James’.

The opulently designed Guardsman has an unmistakable British feel that befits such a prestigious address exuding understated elegance whilst also feeling homey. Discrete and attentive service reminiscent of a private club combined with a dedication to personalisation, makes each event at The Guardsman unique.

6. The Night Owl – Finsbury Park

Opening in Early July, The Night Owl brings Northern Soul to North London. Situated opposite Finsbury Park tube on the storied site of the Silver Bullet. THe new venue will draw on the rich musical history of the area and inject some much needed soul back into this beloved venue. Details are currently hard to come by but you can expect all-day street food courtesy of its Soul Kitchen, themed brunches, cocktails and even the odd immersive event.
