The temperature is rising, the Birkenstocks are out, and the streets of Manchester are aglow with that summer party feeling. There is some magical, alchemical shift in the air when the first rays wash over the old Victorian buildings of the city. Cue a flurry of street parties, house parties, BBQ parties and every other kind of summer party. Excited? So are we.

Here are six of Manchester’s best venues to make the most of this summer.

The Manchester summer party venue with an amazing view: South Terrace, King Street Townhouse

Find a seat, take in the view, and wish the summer would never end. This seems to be the winning logic behind the bewilderingly beautiful South Terrace of Manchester’s King Street Townhouse.

With sweeping views across the gables and chimneys of the Mancunian skyline, summer revels here will be packed with those wonderful (in the literal sense) moments.

The good folk over at King Street Townhouse can complement your summer party with an impressive range of wines, cocktails and carefully curated spirit selection, whilst the food options are seasonal and delicious.

With space for 170 guests and tastefully chosen decor, it’s hard to find fault with this as a summer party venue.

From Manchester, across the world: Peru Perdu, The Cotton Factory

Paying homage to the city once known as ‘Cottonopolis’, a summer party at The Cotton Factory will give your Manchester event a uniquely Peruvian flavour in a quintessentially Mancunian building.

Open-plan with wide, generous windows and foliage hanging from the ceiling, even indoors this venue can give your summer party that distinct feeling of space, warmth and light.

There are cocktails, wine and beers to drink and, of course, the Peruvian food offerings to evoke the culture of a warmer climate. With a beautiful space and amazing South American dishes, The Cotton Factory is one of our favourites.

For a leafy, secluded summer party: Eleven Didsbury Park

Eleven Didsbury Park is a fantastic summer party venue for those wanting something special. A luxury townhouse tucked away into a leafy suburb, this boutique hotel could serve as an endlessly charming setting for a Manchester summer party.

Anyone who’s familiar with Manchester will know that come summer, Didsbury presents a very attractive option to those seeking some pastoral pleasure. Eleven Didsbury Park makes the most of its celebrated setting, whilst granting your summer party the privacy you deserve.

A special shoutout has to go to the garden space. A beautiful green area bursting with foliage, it’s the ideal spot for a summer BBQ with friends. So, why not grab a drink with some close friends and watch the evening light fade out over Manchester’s most idyllic neighbourhood.

Party on your very own terrace: Ducie Street Warehouse

Cashing in on Manchester’s seemingly infinite supply of aesthetically pleasing warehouse spaces, Ducie Street Warehouse is a particularly good venue for a summer party.

The sun-trap terrace has played host to all manner of summer events, from DJ nights and creative workshops to cultural talks and pop-up markets. Whatever your creative vision might be, chances are Ducie Street have had had it before.

The sharp, modern outdoor space can cater to 100 guests, whilst the indoors can also be incorporated into the party – meaning the sky is the limit with this one.

Lola Lo Manchester Summer Party

Manchester’s glossy Tiki bar: Lola Lo Manchester

Some might think the tropical, endlessly summery vibes of a Tiki bar contradict the infamous rainy drear of Manchester. As Lola Lo shows, we in Manchester love a bit of summer cheer.

Boasting an extensive selection of spirits, and more bespoke Tiki cocktails than you can possibly sample, Lola Lo is summer incarnate. The Deansgate venue offers full private hire for you and an incredible 560 guests. On top of this, they can also source fire breathers and saxophone players and decorate the bar to your bespoke taste.

Fire breathers, now that’s a true party.

A summer party venue that does it all. Is that possible? YES Bar

A student and young professional favourite, YES bar is a four-floored townhouse on Charles Street, offering a range of spaces that could have you eating, drinking, dancing or sunning, depending on your preference.

Though the roof terrace is not the biggest or affords the best view, it gets a lot of sun and tops off one of the City’s most exciting all-round venues. YES gets the summer party vibe right – cheap drinks, great food and music that makes you want to dance.
