The story behind the Serpentine Galleries:

The Serpentine Galleries are contemporary art galleries in Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park. The Serpentine Gallery and the Serpentine Sackler Gallery are within five minutes’ walk of each other, linked by the bridge over the Serpentine Lake.
Either of these venues will provide the perfect backdrop for any corporate event that definitely won’t be forgotten in a hurry.
The Serpentine Galleries exhibitions, architecture, education and public programmes attract up to 1.2 million visitors a year, and the Galleries are now taking bookings for venue hire for a range of different events.

1. Serpentine Gallery, Serpentine Galleries

The Serpentine Gallery was established in 1970 and is housed in a Grade II listed former tea pavilion built in 1933–34 by the architect James Grey West. Notable artists whose works have been exhibited there include Man Ray, Henry Moore, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Paula Rego and many more.

As you can see, the Serpentine Gallery is a very aesthetically stunning venue. Each year the Serpentine Gallery shows eight or more exhibitions which can be enjoyed privately when the Space is exclusively hired for a morning or evening event.
With the changing exhibitions, capacities do vary, but the Space at the Serpentine Gallery can generally accommodate between 100 and 180 Guests for a standing drinks reception or up to 40 Guests for a seated dinner.
You can hire the Serpentine Gallery for a wide range of different events. This is a very versatile Space. In the past, it’s been used for all sorts of corporate events from product launches to private dinners.

2. Serpentine Sackler Gallery, Serpentine Galleries

In 2013 the Serpentine Sackler Gallery, with an extension designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, was opened to the public, giving new life to The Magazine, a Grade II* listed former gunpowder store built in 1805.
Located five minutes’ walk from the Serpentine Gallery across the Serpentine Bridge, it comprises 900 square metres of gallery Space, a restaurant, a shop and a social Space.

3. Serpentine Pavilion 2018, Serpentine Galleries

Each summer the Serpentine Galleries London invites an internationally known architect to create their first built structure in England. The immediacy of the process, a maximum of six months from invitation to completion, provides a unique summer party venue in London that would be perfect for your next corporate event.

The Serpentine Pavilion can be hired for private events alongside the Serpentine Gallery between June and October for a maximum of 500 Guests for a standing reception.
